Parking

If you drive to my house for your lesson, or to bring your child to their lesson, you’ll have noticed it’s been impossible to park next to my car. I’ve been having some work done on the bailey (my castle-relevant name for the front garden), and various bags and tools have been lying around, getting in the way of pupil parking.

That’s all been cleared away now, and the bailey is nearly finished. Still some work to be done on the stream and on the Egg, which is the name of the bench at the far end. The Egg’s going to be painted some time during August, and the stream should be finished in the next few days.

Meanwhile, please resume the habit of parking your car next to mine!

If there’s already a car in that space, then please park opposite Castle Rory, with your off-side or near-side wheels actually on the Green. That way people can get past easily.

On no account should you park in the space reserved for The Buttery, nor must you obstruct access to this space. Most of you will know what The Buttery is: my guest accommodation at the back of my house.

I hope this is all ok for everyone. I’m lucky to live in a corner, so no one ever drives past my house. Parking next to my car, or half on the Green, is very safe and secure.

Finally, if you’re just dropping your child off, or returning to collect him or her, please pull up wherever’s most convenient!

Thank you all so much for co-operating with this, and for putting up with not being able to park where I asked you to while the bailey was being created.
