Hemblington Church

Hemblington Church is a beautiful medieval church in rural Norfolk. Most Sundays, I play the organ for services at Hemblington. The service starts at 9.30am, and all are welcome.

The wall-painting, showing St Christopher carrying the Christ-Child, dates from the High Middle Ages and is of national importance. Further information about it can be found here.

You can find more information, including dates and times of services here.

Several times a year, the music group known as Hemblington Musicians accompanies the hymns or carols. This makes our services very special indeed.

On Sunday 7th May 2023 Hemblington Musicians contributed to our special service, celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III. To begin and end the service, the Musicians played and sang Handel’s third Coronation Anthem, The King Shall Rejoice.

Musicians: Rory Marsden (organ), Claire Moore and Jenna-Anne Moore (flutes), Stephen Gilbey and Isaac Moore (trumpets), Patrick Meehan (tenor saxophone), Alison Dodd (cello) and Jen Ferris (vocals). Video by Sequoia Mallett
